Pudince

The Story

When I was as young as 4 years old my parents encouraged me to use the family computer and purchased a second hand desktop PC specifically for me to use as they were convinced that I was going to go far with technology. I spent my childhood tinkering in settings, writing scripts in Excel, playing around with the command prompt and learning how the different parts of computers worked together.

In 2008 I began developing my first ever piece of software, "Anima" - an alternative to Macromedia Flash Player - as many of my friends were sharing me YouTube clips that weren't accessible to me on my slow internet speeds. My goal was to create an alternative flash player that could buffer the videos quicker. I succeeded. Pudince Anima was released in December of 2008 on my free hosted website.

In late 2009, I registered the domain name "pudince.com" and started advertising my software there. I developed several other utilities for Windows and started my own application framework toolkit, called RyTek.

In 2011, Microsoft offered me a partnership in exchange for ownership of Pudince Anima. Pudince Anima was later made a part of Microsoft's Silverlight (in version 5). For the following seven years, I would have a key relationship with Microsoft - developing several flagship applications for the Windows Phone operating system and even manufacturing accessories and storage devices for devices running Windows Phone OS.
