Schnitzels and FPS games... like 2018

Since my last entry I've just been taking the year slowly and surely. I decided late last year that I needed to give myself a bit of break. I've been burning myself out on life lately - with the whole, roleplay second life thing. I'm still not burnt out on roleplay (despite now having almost 1000 hours in Red Dead Roleplay...) because every single session is unlike the last. There's no repetitive gameplay loop like in other games. That being said, it's socially draining. I've never been so social in my life and yet I feel that I'm not being social at all. I realised this when I saw Birb and Onyon playing "The Finals" - a new FPS game. Reminded me of the old days, 2017 and 2018 - when we'd all play Fortnite together. I missed that. I missed playing anything with those guys, regardless of what genre of game. I hadn't played anything frequently with Birb since our raft revisit in March.

When I got back from my holiday to Brunswick with Dan, I decided I was going to cut back on the roleplay. Three days a week, ought to do it. Even then, maybe shorter sessions. This would give me more time to play other games with other people. They'd been telling me to come and join them in The Finals since it came out, so that's exactly what I did and boy was it fun. I've already got fucking 50 hours in the damn game and it's been like, 2.5 weeks most.

I've been getting a lot of fun clips of us just fucking around. Won a fair few matches and personally have had a series of really good moments myself. A few clutches, a few single handed team wipes. Birb and Onyon are really good at it and had a 100-odd hour lead on me, so I had to get good pretty fast. It's been so much fun. There's a few other games I want to play too - there's one I sent to Birb, Lakoola and Onyon last week that looks pretty fun. Oh, and BG3.

Last Friday I went to Schnitz in Wang with Birb, Onyon and Dan. I swear, I heard that they were thinking of opening a schnitz in the last week of November. By the first weekend of December, they'd already put up a sign outside to say that Schnitz was coming soon. I shit you not, days before Christmas, they opened. An entire store fitout (gorgeous by the way - one of the nicest Schnitz's I've ever been to) in just weeks. It blew my mind. Hadn't had a chance to go and eat there though until now. They were obviously still finding their footings. They weren't sure entirely how their own menu worked and the food came out in waves, followed by "uh... this is all was on the ticket?" - despite us telling them that we had all ordered separately for the same table. Either way, we all got our food. Dan loved it, which was good. He was skeptical about a schnitzel joint considering he doesn't eat chicken, but he said the beef schnitzel was fantastic. He had a spicy wrap.

Rejoined roleplay properly on the weekend. It was a little overwhelming but I ended up having a pretty fun time. I've told everyone that matters about my approach and everyone seems to understand and support it. In fact, Mew and Komodo have basically left WWRP in favour of GTA roleplay. Not permanently, I don't think - but they're getting a lot of enjoment out of it. I think I may apply when the applications open. Having my foot in the door on WWRP should help a lot, I'd assume. We shall see. I don't know if I have the time.

I told Beady earlier that I need about 8 more daytime and 8 more nighttime hours to get everything done. I stand by that.
